S.A.N.E. services
- Specially trained registered nurses to provide forensic evaluations and
emotional support
- Assistance in reporting the crime to police if the adult victim chooses;
reporting is required for children
- Collection of medical forensic evidence that may be useful in court
- Referrals to other services such as counseling and other health care
providers
- Follow-up calls to discuss any presenting issues or additional referrals
- If a court case should result, S.A.N.E. nurse is available to
testify as an expert witness
- Public speaking for education and prevention of sexual assault
